Joan Laporta defends his management of Barcelona as president amid calls for his resignation from opponents

Barcelona president Joan Laporta has defended his management amid calls for his resignation after the club’s troubles over the registrations of Daniel Olmo and Pau Victor forced the club to seek temporary protection from decisions by La Liga and the Spanish Football Federation, Diario Sport reported on Tuesday.

‘In the last few weeks, there have เว็บพนันออนไลน์ UFABET สมัครง่าย โปรโมชั่นมากมาย been stories that have been spoken about with ignorance or dishonesty,’ Laporta said. ‘Barça is back on the 1:1 system of La Liga’s Fair Play. We can make signings normally, after a long period of La Liga’s intervention in our spending. Now we are no longer like that and we can register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor. ‘

‘To meet the rules, we signed a contract with Nike. Companies like Spotify and others who want to work with the club can also reject those who say the club is badly run.’

Laporta also claimed that those who want to attack him and the club will have to work hard to bring him down, and accused Barcelona of being blockaded on all sides.

‘Nothing that has happened in recent weeks regarding registrations has surprised us. In the history of Barça, we have seen that we can expect these reactions. It is no coincidence that when Barça resurfaces, individuals backed by the media join forces to promote stories that have nothing to do with reality.’

‘We all know who they are and once again they didn’t get what they wanted. They didn’t get what they wanted because of the commitment of the board and the employees. They wanted to get revenge on us. We never gave up.’

‘What I can’t accept is lying. I can’t allow attacks on the club president to destabilise the team. I won’t let this go.’

‘We now have new energy at this important time in our history and a team that will bring joy to Barcelona.’

Laporta also elaborated on the process that led to the Olmo and Victor registration drama.

‘We submitted the documents on December 27. Before the end of the year, La Liga asked us for more documents and on the 31st we received the 1:1 document. La Liga added requirements that exclude us from the rules. The federation received the documents and there was no problem for them, but the 1:1 document is missing.’

‘The outdated interpretation has prevented us from getting a licence. For us, it is not right. We have not entered into a situation where a player can register with several clubs in the same season.’

‘In our case, the player has a contract and it is a renewal of the licence. On 3 (January) we completed the paperwork. La Liga has done us justice. We submitted the licence application to the federation but it was suspended due to outdated articles.’

‘We went to the CSD to have them issue an urgent order. The damage that is hard to repair must be done, which is the case. They also appreciate the good legal image. The CSD and the state prosecutor have stood by the emergency order.’
